Dear Morina, Overall the trip was fantastic, we saw a lot in such a short period of time. Our driver and guides were excellent and should be commended. I was not happy with the quality of Taj hotel in Rathanbore. All other hotels were excellent. The confusion of entrance fees not being payed should have been avoided. If I were to do it again I would request a guide to stay with us the entire trip. So there is no language barrier or confusion. Dear Rahul, Sylvia and I got back to New York yesterday afternoon. Our departure was very smooth. We were picked up exactly on time; the traffic to the airport was not bad at 11PM on Saturday even though we had been told that it might get heavy on Christmas Eve; and Ashok very kindly shepherded us through the check-in. We loved the entire trip. We were met everywhere by the representatives and the drivers were excellent: As you know, we spent 6 days with Ratti Ram, going from Delhi to Agra to Jaipur and Samode. He was just terrific. We also loved our first guide, Rattan Singh, in Delhi. Although all the guides were good, Mr. Singh was really excellent. When we first got to Samode, we wondered how we had ended up in that remote place; and then we just loved being there and loved the Samode Bagh. After doing a lot of sight-seeing, it was a perfect break, and we are very glad you put it into our itinerary. The staff there was excellent; and Sylvia, who is herself an excellent cook, thought that the chef at the Bagh was superb. Indeed, although we have stayed at a huge number of hotels in our life, several of the hotels you sent us to, provided unique experiences for us. The Trident in Agra is a gorgeous hotel and extremely comfortable. Sylvia wasn't feeling well when we were there and was made as comfortable as possible. The chef there was also excellent. The Alsisar Haveli couldn't be more different from the Trident in design, but it was fun staying in that old and huge home with its antiques. The waiter in the dining room knew that Sylvia wasn't feeling well and worked very hard to be accomodating. We also liked being in walking distance of the old city part of Jaipur. Finally, despite the huge number of hotels we have stayed at in the past including many luxury hotels, Sylvia and I have never stayed at a better hotel than the Taj Lake Palace. Everything about it was perfect. We could not have been more comfortable or better cared for. I think that it is not just that it is a Taj and the staff are so well trained. The small size of the hotel, only 84 rooms I believe; its location in the lake and having such wonderful views in every direction; the superb taste of the decor; the excellent cuisine - all contribute to its unique excellence. Putting this all together, I just want to say "Thanks!" We had a fabulous time on this two-week trip; and we are most grateful to you for putting together the itinerary and for your responsiveness to all my inquiries and requests. Dear Ashumi, Many Thanks for organising my 18 day visit with family to Spain and Paris. Due to TBI's efforts the trip was practically hassle free. 1. The Air tickets and the Eurail /TGV passes were booked on the dates conveyed by me and changed when ever I requested. 2. The apartments/hotels were booked at economic prices and very comfortable. Only the hotel at Seville, the Alcora, was quite far from the town centre and we had to rely on an hourly bus shuttle to ferry us to the town centre. Since Seville has no Metro this should be kept in mind. The other 3 places were ideally situated with the metro stations being just outside. 3. If TBI could have tied up for the F.E. and SIM card also it would have been a complete package. 4. Close and prompt coordination by you was very good and helped make our trip extremely enjoyable. Dear Ashumi, Just back in India after a wonderful vacation in Bali. Thank you so much for all the arrangements - the agent in Bali had arranged a nice car with a driver + English speaking guide.The tours on the 3 days as per itinenary were well organised and we really enjoyed visiting all the places.The best part was the Nusa Dua beach resort - it is simply great property. It is on beach with Westin hotel resort & Lagoona resort adjacent to it and all 3 have a common private beach with common access. The Nusa Dua Beach resort has nice rooms ( we were upgraded ), good service and nice food. Overall a great trip coupled with our vacation in Singapore with my son, watching F1 race. Hi Shilpa, Just wanted to write a thank you note for all your help with regards to our France trip. Of the four places we visited, the two that we liked the most (Chamonix and Loire Valley) were Meher’s recommendations – do let her know. I remember Meher had said that we must do self drive through Loire, something I was very hesitant about – but that too worked out really well. If anyone is going to Loire, you should recommend Chateau Chissay for staying. This is a real chateau that has been converted into a hotel. It is a 10 minute drive from the place that we stayed in. The rooms start at as little as 170 Euros a night. We paid 125 Euros and stayed at Auberge du Bon Laboureur which was also totally fantastic. The behind the scenes tour of the Eiffel was very interesting – in the absence of a guide we wouldn’t have enjoyed half as much. Also, Raj was very helpful. Do thank him on our behalf. We has excess luggage and needed to buy a bag before getting on the flight back to India. We asked him from where we could pick up a cheap bag and his advice was really useful. We explored every nook and cranny (i.e. hours and hours of walking) of Chamonix, Nice, and Paris on foot – so if there’s anyone who is going to any of these places, you can direct the person to Varsha or me for tips and advice. Dear Meher/Shilpa We had an excellent trip and the highlight was Chamonix - THE `MONT BLANC’. Meher, thanks for suggesting us. Hotels and their locations were good. Les Balcons de Savoy and the one in Grindelwald (facing Eiger) were the best. We enjoyed Italy though it was very hot (Florence temp – 40-45 C) and crowded with tourists. South Italy was beautiful (Amalphi drive was awesome). Switzerland, of course, is beautiful. We visited Mt Titlis, Zermatt and Gonergrat. On last day, we went to Montreux just for 2-3 hours. I travelled to Turkey with Rinki and Maithili. Sorry for this delayed communication caused by my being away from base as soon as I came back. Since Maithili and Rinki have given all the feedback, I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU. Our small disappointment - we couldn't have a tram ride in Istanbul as the tickets are sold only thru' automatic machines and we just couldn't manage these! Also you could give your Turkey customers a tip - the Turks appear very European and this can be misleading!! They expect their customers to bargain in a very Eastern, Asian way! They also expect tips and this was a problem not knowing how much to give. Overall we had a most enjoyable and memorable holiday leaving us hungry for more (I am also 68 like Rinki and was glad to survive all the walking!!) Despite being vegetarian, I miss Turkish food. Dear Shilpa,  On behalf of all the girls, I would like to thank you for the fantastic, enjoyable and extremely memorable holiday we had in Sri Lanka. The Itinerary was perfect - all the locations that were chosen were scenic and had a breathtaking beauty of their own. From the Elephant orphanage at Pinnawala where we saw the herd of elephants feeding and bathing by the river to climbing the flight of stairs to the palace of King Kasha at Sigriya, each day was an experience in itself.The elephant back safari at Harabana was thrilling as it was a first time experience for most of us. Some good additions to the Itinerary was the trek to the World's end at the Horton Plains - I would recommend it to your future clients. The only qualification is that one needs to be physically fit for this trek. The white water rafting over the Kelani river at Kitugala was a superb which ended up with all of us floating in the river. I must mention that the two guides who helped us with the white water rafting were supportive and encouraging and helped most of us get rid of our fears and inhibitions.The hills of Nuwara Eliya gave us a breath of clear mountain air and we also got to visit the tea plantations. Our trip ended beautifully with the visit to the beach at Negombo. Hotel Galadari in Colombo was the best hotel in the Itinerary - all credit goes to Shilpa who took extra effort with the booking. The other hotels except for Hotel Senani at Kandy were comfortable and met up with our expectations. The tour guide, Mr.Chaminda was helpful and did his best in making our trip enjoyable. We would like to thank you once again for the great trip, the good rates especially for the hotels and the choice of sight-seeing locations. Thanks for all the efforts ! Cheers! This is 10% increased on the call to India earlier in the season. I hear from various parties that they were very pleased with the services of TBI and I would like to thank you for your guidance on and handling of some of the tricky problems that we faced particularly in Chennai and also with the last minute medical disembarkation in Mumbai. Dear Varsha and Namrata , I must first apologise for not writing to you sooner but when we got to our flat, on our return, it had been absolutely gutted by the builder as we had a flood and we had to move to a rented accommodation. I have been so busy dealing with paints and wall papers etc. I have had to take a lot of time off work to do so. Anyway, enough of my woes!! Firstly let me thank you both and your team for what we consider to be one of our best holidays. You really went to a lot of trouble to make sure it all ran smoothly. As the organiser, let me start from the top: Varsha and Namrata: You really had a lot of patience with me and my demands. I really wanted this holiday to be a wow factor and it was. You came to understand how my friends and I ticked and you adjusted the holiday to suit our tastes. Every hotel was a gem and had an element of surprise. For us Visalam was the best of the bunch. It had everything a memorable hotel should have. From the staff, to the ambiance, to the food. The guide – Bala and the driver – Francis were very good and tended to all our needs on the journey. We all adored the boat trip and I am very grateful that you managed to get Sanil – the Captain who yet again took us to some unusual places on the backwaters. I found you both easy to deal with and with a good sense of humour. I was very touched with your concerns when I got ill on the trip and for calling us just to check that we were having a good time. I would certainly recommend you both and TBI to my friends. Santosh Kumar - Chennai Santosh was there on arrival with the two mini buses and his drivers and helpers. This was 3 am not the best of times but he really welcomed us to India and made sure that we all got on the coach with all our bags etc. With Santosh in command all went smoothly. He came to the hotel and helped us to check in. He came again the next day with all the hotel vouchers and chatted to me about our trip. He was in constant touch with us throughout the Tamil Nadu part of the holiday. I was very impressed with him and the care he took to make sure that we were happy with everything. As an employer myself, I would love to have someone like him on my team. Mr Prathap – Cochin Mr P took over from Santosh in Kerala and we again experienced a faultless service. He came twice to see me at Brunton Boatyard in Cochin and unfortunately I was out both times. I did speak to him and found him very congenial and helpful. He also kept in touch with the driver and made sure that the cars came to pick us up on time, every time. We never had to worry about airport transfers etc and at the airport he made sure that someone was there to see us through to the departure gate. All in all Mr P is a great asset to the company. Well as you can see from the above, the holiday was a great success and my friends who had never been to India came away with wonderful memories and can’t wait for you to organise something else for us. Dear Varsha We had the most amazing journey. Usually I pass out on a beach somewhere so it was a shock to the system to be travelling every 1-2 days, with constant packing and unpacking. It was FABULOUS! We were very well looked after by our guides and drivers, and also the boat crew. I am smiling just thinking about it. There were so many highlights, from our first view of an Indian temple in Chennai to being blessed by the richest elephant in the world at the temple in Madurai. Then there was going the wrong way round the roundabout racing our other 2 rickshaw drivers going from the temple to the palace in Madurai- it worked! Thank goodness we are not competitive! Blissing out at Coconut Lagoon, being massaged by 2 girls in the Ayurvedic Spa, and then washed, showered and patted dry had me comatose and purring- my shoulders drop just thinking about it. And then, the wonderful sight of our 2 house boats tying up at the lakeside at Coconut Lagoon so we went seamlessly from one chill out experience to the next. I am giggling thinking of Sunil , our captain , wearing my thick fur trimmed jacket as he carried bags on board. And then we found out that the twin room was on the other boat , so most of the luggage needed changing over and 1 of the crew very gently asked if that was our final decision. We saw so many different sights, enjoyed so many different foods and drinks, including fresh coconut water, with the coconuts knocked out of the tree for breakfast one day, and the banana leaves picked to be our plates, and the illicit toddy (fermented palm sap) purchased from a local, and the lobsters purchased from the guy in his rowing boat in the middle of the river. As I think back , more and more amusing and interesting moments come back to me. I still have the 2 left footed gold and diamante sandals purchased at Chennai airport that I am trying to turn in to a matching pair, but it’s not easy, so always double check your purchases! There was the lady digging up her fresh ginger from her front garden at Periyar, the spice village, and pepper growing on trees, and birds eye chillies and lemon grass growing in the gardens. They have spices like we have a herb tub. We loved our magical journey across India, and are already asking our ‘tour guide’ Shernaz, when the next trip is. Thank you for the part you played pulling it all together- it all flowed very seamlessly , and I know what a lot of hard work that entails behind the scenes in advance. Hi Ralph, Sorry for not being able to send this to you earlier. Thank you to TBI for organizing a good holiday for us at such a short notice. We were happy with the accommodation at Windflower Resort. The location is great and the hotel interiors are quite tastefully done. The staff was courteous and helpful. Since the resort had a SPA facility, it would have been good if some facilities had been included by them in the package itself. The New Year party was also not that impressive considering the amount charged for the 31st which was approximately Rs 20000. Being animal lovers we were quite distressed to see the condition in which the two horses belonging to the hotel were kept. Hope the hotel management makes a note of this and improves it asap. Dear Shirin, We would once again like to thank you and TBI for all the bookings and planning you did for us for our summer vacation. We were very impressed with the way the itinerary was planned as it helped us not to waste any time and we made the most of every day we had in all these beautiful cities. It was a fantastic idea to take overnight train journeys as this was a superb experience and it once again saved a lot of time. The trains were very comfortable and extremely safe. Hi Samidha,  What can we say about the dream island - it was once in a lifetime where we got to walk with the Lions, feed the fishes underwater and walking with them as well? And that's not all, we also watched the part of the Island from the sky when we did our parasailing. The entire trip was worth the money including the stay, transfers to various points and meals as well. Sightseeing to the North and South of Mauritius and the IL AUX CERF ISLAND were worth watching. In addition to that there were different places, gardens, volcanic spots, beaches and some wild life which were also worth seeing. Adding to this, everything was organized properly and efficiently by

The staff have been very friendly and accommodating to our needs and also guided us as to which sites were worthwhile to visit. When we arrived we were always greeted by a friendly representative from the company at the airport and at our hotel accommodation. They were most helpful in guiding us and organising any additional places of interest or restaurants that we wished to visit or dine in. Every leg of the journey was well planned and the places visited lived up to their full promise. We were particularly pleased with the planning for Turkey. Dear Meher, My family returned on 2nd June 2009 after a most enjoyable vacation in Greece and Turkey. We are writing to thank you for arranging an excellent tour of both countries. In Greece all the arrangements were meticulous. Your agent was excellent and delivered everything he promised. Santorini was a delight. Crete was lovely too but do advise your clients to spend at least 3 full days there, otherwise it really isn’t worthwhile. The Terra Maris hotel in Crete was just superb. The Globus tour was good but we have suggested a few changes to them in their questionnaire. The Istanbul hotel, Arena, was in a superb location. All these hotels are old Ottoman homes, refurbished as hotels. As such, the rooms are not standard at all. We had a good room but the room allocated to Shireen and Freyan was very very small, although the amount charged was the same. This is just for your information. The staff was helpful and obliging. Given a choice, all of us would definitely stay in the Sultanahmet area rather than in Taksim. Please do convey to Shirin that she did an excellent job. Dear Morina, Sorry for the delay in replying but I have been quite busy. Thanks for a super trip, everything went off really well except the fact that Darius and Sonja could not join us. I thought that all the hotels we had were great and the arrangements super, everything went as per the plans with no hiccups whatsoever. A few tips I would suggest are: Banjara Camps in Sangla are just outstanding-their hospitality is great, food is really good,they help and coordinate activities as per your desire and their location is terrific. Its a place any one could enjoy. Banjara in Shojha is also beautiful, its location is great but I think its not for the older age group or if you have a bit of a problem climbing up and down coz you need to go down what feels like half the mountain to get to the hotel. Mcleodganj is OK for just 1 night unless you want to go up and down the same street looking at the same stalls, over and over again. Manali is OK and being progressively ruined. It is best to stay a distance away when you have a car at your service. I thought Dalhousie was beautiful and the hotel was good. They really were out to please and did all that anyone asked. The location was just spectacular. Kalpa was terrific and so was the HPTDC place there. All in all I thought the Kinnaur region was a better area but then it could be that it was not overcrowded and hence relatively unspoilt like Manali and Dharamsala. I think the roads were pretty bad and we did too much of driving but then that was our fault not yours,we were a tad too ambitious and hence were pretty tired on a regular basis. So I would not repeat the mistake again. All the same, I would love to go back to Himachal to the areas we could not do this time. It was everything we expected and more. The hotel reservations done by you both in Port Blair and in Havelock Island were excellent. The service, food, ambience we enjoyed thoroughly. Thanks for the request for feedback - it is a healthy sign that your organisation is always looking for opportunities to improve. Overall we had a very good experience while in India and were pleased with the services arranged by your company. Some specifics from me which Emma may wish to add to: - Driving in India is something of a shock to visitors used to less crowded and chaotic road systems. The drivers that we had were good - in particular Rajender who took us from Dehli to Jaipur. A strong recommendation would be that all the vehicles should be fitted with seatbelts on every seat. ... - The hotels we used were of the expected quality with the exception of the Connaught in Dehli. I would not recommend using this venue until the required improvements have been made. - Our guides were all very good and sensitive to our needs. Yussef in Agra in particular was probably the most impressive in terms of experience and his explanations of what we were seeing. - The itinerary was useful in terms of information. A suggestion for those like us that have not pre-paid for entrance fees is to provide a guide on what cash requirements will be for each day in the details. This is to thank you both and everyone else who was involved in the planning and execution of our recent holiday to China. We absolutely loved every minute of it and would especially like to thank our guides Lily, Marshall, Colleen and Angela, who were patient (with our demands for shopping), helpful and informative and very friendly. So far, Turkey used to be my favourite country, but it has now become China. It is so rich in culture and with so much to see and very skilled and talented people. I especially loved the artefact shopping. And, contrary to what we had been told, by just about everyone, we just loved Chinese food and very quickly asked for the Indian meals in Shanghai to be changed to Chinese. We ofcourse had our share of out of the ordinary experiences, like missing luggage in Beijing, and trying to order food in the dining car of the train when no one understood English - and this man who became very aggressive when we peered to see what he was eating - and ofcourse the quake which we felt in Wuzhen. But these things only made our holiday more memorable. There is one strong suggestion from us. The Hutong area was so charming that it would have been nice to have had our dinner in one of the little restaurants by the water - would have given a better feel of the place. And how can I forget the shows which were absoluely amazing especially the Song Dynasty and the Tang Dynasty. The camp location was also very beautiful and added to our experience. The rafting trips were the highlight and we really enjoyed them.
