Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill to see the breathtaking sunrise and a view of Mt. Kanchenjunga. Visit the Batasia Loop and the famous Ghoom Monastery enroute. After breakfast, enjoy a full day local tour covering Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Himalayan Zoological Park and Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre. Overnight. Breakfast. Depart for Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Lunch enroute. Arrive and check - in at your hotel. Overnight. Breakfast. This morning enjoy an excursion to Tsangu Lake (12,400 ft) along the old trade route to Tibet. Enjoy the beautiful drive. Return to Gangtok. Overnight. Breakfast. Visit the Enchey Monastery, the Do Drul Chorten, the Research Institute of Tibetology, Purba Chorten, Government Institute of Cottage Industries (GICI) and walk down Lal Bazar. In the afternoon, drive to the famous Rumtek Monastery, 24 kms from Gangtok. This is the seat of the head of the Karma Kagyu order of Tibetan Buddhism. Overnight. Breakfast. Depart by road for Kalimpong, (4 hrs). Enjoy a lovely drive along the Teesta river. River rafting option enroute (at extra cost) is also possible. Arrive and check-in at your hotel. Overnight. Breakfast. Enjoy a half day tour covering a flower nursery and the famous Zong Dhog Palri Monastery. Overnight. Breakfast. Transfer from Kalimpong to Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri Station by road.
